BIOGRAPHY

   
1930 Born on January 27th (St.Sava’s Day) in Novi Sad
1948 Enrolled at the Academy of Visual Arts
1953 Graduated in the class of Professor Nedeljko Gvozdenovic
1954 Accepted into the membership of VAAS
1956 Completed postgraduate studies.
Held an individual exhibition in Ruma, followed by another in Sremska Mitrovica.
Employed as a teacher of art in elementary school “Ivan Gundulic” in Belgrade.
1957 Individual exhibition in Novi Sad, Visual Arts’ Saloon of Youth Tribune.
1958 Individual exhibition in New Belgrade.
1959 Passed the state qualification exam for secondary school teachers.
1960 Individual exhibition at the Gallery of Museum of Applied Art in Belgrade. Elected as assistant for the subject of art at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade.
1961 Individual exhibitions in Novi Sad and Sremska Mitrovica.
1962 Individual exhibition in Belgrade.
1963 Individual exhibition at the Gallery of Cultural Centre of Belgrade.
1964 Individual exhibitions in Rijeka and Ljubljana.
1966 Individual exhibition at the Gallery of Hall of Yugoslav National Army in Belgrade.
1967 Owing to the theoretical study “Drawing as a way of expression and communication” and the individual exhibition held at the Gallery of Hall of Yugoslav National Army in Belgrade, nominated assistant professor.
1970 Individual exhibition in Sombor.
1973 Individual exhibition at the Gallery of Hall of Yugoslav National Army in Belgrade.
1974 Retrospective exhibition at the Gallery of Matica Srpska in Novi Sad, organized by the Gallery of Contemporary Visual Arts in Novi Sad.
1979 Elected as associate professor at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade.
1983 Individual exhibition in Dubrovnik.
1987 Elected as full professor for the subject of art at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade.
1988 Exhibition “The Four Seasons” in Belgrade.
1992 Exhibition of watercolor paintings of Hilandar monastery at the Museum of Applied Art in Belgrade, followed by the same exhibition in the Cultural Centre of Yugoslavia in New York. Leaves for USA.
