EARTHQUAKE IN SERBIA

On November 3rd, 2010 an earthquake struck Serbia. At the Emergency situation in Kraljevo agency meeting it was stated that 5,967 out of 8,387 object that were inspected is classified as unsafe.
Mayor Ljubisa Simovic stated Wedensday that the damage caused by an earthquake which hit the town of Kraljevo and its surroundings exceeds EUR 100 million.
The finance ministry said it had opened a special account to raise funds for victims in Kraljevo.

The Grand Opening of an Exhibition
"Viminacium - Roman City and Military Camp"
one of the most important archaeological sites in Serbia
The creative director for this comprehensive project Mr. Miomir Korac, PhD and his colleagues
will attempt to demonstrate everyday lifestyle, tradition, cuisine and pastime
from the time when Viminacium, the capital of the Roman province of Moesia (today's Serbia),
was one of the most influential cities in the Roman Empire.
The Grand Opening will be held on Wednesday May 5th at 6:30PM
at the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia
The exhibition will remain open on May 6th and 7th from 9 AM to 5 PM.
